Abstract

Philosophy poses the question about the relationship between being and love, trying to progress in finding a rational explanation of that experience. In this paper we offer an approach to the issue through two contemporary authors, Karol Wojtyla and Leonardo Polo, whose thoughts complement one another. It has been indicated that Wojtyla’s novel proposals demand an ontology of its own for anthropology. Well, it seems that Polo develops one –that he calls transcendental anthropology– on which Wojtyla’s thought can be grounded, united with the Polian philosophical tradition. That is why a joint development of both thoughts could prove very fruitful.
